RULES AEUSA is only open to residents of the United States of America. 2.Contestants may make application for titles only in locale, in which they hold legal residence, own property, or have temporary school address. 3.All participants must be naturally born females 4. Previous national winners are not eligible to compete for a second national title in the same age category. 5. Applications will be accepted on January 1st. If selected, Contestant agrees to pay all fees and submit all necessary and required materials within the specified time period. Application Deadline is December 1st. Pictures and volunteer information are due December 1st National winners will be announced December 31st. 6.If selected, Contestant agrees to represent the system in a positive manner, fulfill all public appearance requirements and provide regular reports to directors. 7.We require all winners to make appearances on behalf of their title and to send reports/photos to the director. For local, city, county and state titleholders, a minimum of 4 appearances are recommended. For national winners, a minimum of 6 appearances. 8. All title holders are required to send in a copy write free headshot of them in sash no later than 30 days after receiving them in the mail. This is also required for National title holders. 9.Contestant attests that all information, which they have and will submit, is true and accurate. Falsification of information will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any and all prizes won. They also agree to display good sportsmanship at all times. Contestants understand that posting negative or inflammatory messages to the Internet or harassing judges, contestants or staff via E-mail constitutes poor sportsmanship and if proven, may result in disqualification. Disqualified contestants are not entitled to a refund of any kind. 11.Contestants will give A.B. Creations / AEUSA permission to use their name, photo, likeness, voice & biographical information for purposes of publicity, advertising, and promotion in print, radio, video, on the web site(s), and in any other media. Contestants also give consent for A.B. Creations/ AEUSA to use their name, photo, likeness, voice & biographical information for purposes of producing promotional merchandise, including but not limited to clothing (e.g., T-shirts), posters, mugs, mouse pads and other products. Contestants understand that they are not entitled to any compensation from the sale of such products. 12. Contestants understand and accept that A.B. Creations / AEUSA will appoint judges for finalists and overall titles. Judges may consist of members of A.B. Creations / AEUSA staff and/or additional qualified individuals. Contestants understand that the decision of the judges is final and non-contestable. 13. Any contestant under the age of 18 must send a copy of the application with a parent’s signature. 14. Contestants will understand and accept that, due to the large volume of contestants to be processed, score sheets will not be made available. Feedback regarding scores, ranking, strengths, weaknesses, etc. will be made available upon written request. 15.Participants understand that the AEUSA is a self-supporting program. NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND, IN FULL OR IN PART, WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. 16.Contestants understand that preferred titles will be reserved upon receipt of 1/2 payment of fees, and that sash will be ordered upon payment of all fees in full. Contestants who have sent an application are placed in "applicant" status until the national office has received their deposit. Once deposits are received, titles are "pending". Upon receipt of full payment of the entry fee, titles are "confirmed" and assigned for representation, and sashes are ordered. If a contestant is in pending status and another contestant is interested in the same title, the title will be awarded to the first individual who makes payment of the entry fee in full, regardless of when the first application was filed. The other contestant will be assigned another available title for which she qualifies upon receipt of payment in full. 17.Participants understand that all titleholders are allowed to enter other pageants, competitions, and contests. Titleholders may reenter from year to year. National titleholders may hold their age division title only once but may compete in the next division when their status (e.g., age, marital status) makes them eligible. 18.Contestants understand the pageant reserves the right to substitute those prizes listed on this site with others of equal quality or value without prior warning or notice to contestants. 19.Contestants understand the pageant reserves the right to use its own discretion when reviewing or admitting contestants into the Pageant. Those persons known to have been abusive in any form to any pageant, its director, owner, agents, sponsors, representatives, royalty, contestants etc will be excluded from competing in the Pageant. 20.Contestants understand they must register with the pageant and be accepted as a contestant prior to representing themselves as a contestant in this pageant and are disallowed from representing themselves as a contestant until such time as all entry fees have been paid in full. Contestants understand that their name will not be listed on this site as a contestant, nor will any promised items be ordered, purchased, or sent to contestant until such time as all fees have been paid in full, and required paperwork is completed and sent to the pageant. 21.Contestants understand a person's weight/size, race, religion, age are not factors in the pageant judging or choice of award winners/titleholders in this pageant. 22.If a contestant officially "withdraws" from the competition, it is understood they have forfeited their title. If a contestant official withdraws for legitimate reasons, they may still re-enter at a later time. All fees are non refundable. 23. If a contestant "drops out" it is understood they have forfeited their title. "Drop Outs" are not allowed to re-enter. A dropout is one that fails to complete payments. Any partial fees paid are forfeit as well. 24.If a contestant fails to meet the requirements of the title they forfeit the title, i.e., submitting proof of required number (6) of appearances by report & photo, and submission of mandatory photo in crown and sash submitted within 30 days. 25.If a contestant fails to submit a resume/volunteer information/pictures they forfeit the title. This is the same as withdrawing from the competition. However, if the contestant fails to notify the director in a timely manner as to the reason they failed to submit their information, they will be banned from re-entering this. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Regardless, all fees are non refundable. 26.If a contestant submits resume/volunteer information/pictures late, they will have points deducted from their presentation score, 3 points for each day late up to 3 days. 27.If a contestant submits updates to their resume/volunteer information/pictures after the deadline, up to 3 days, it is at the judge’s discretion whether to consider the new material. 28.Forfeiting the title means the contestant may not wear the crown and sash, and may not represent themselves as titleholders with the pageant system. In the case of a title forfeiture, it is the within the directors right to request the return of crown, sash and any other prizes awarded. All National winners, no matter what year may compete for the title of Ambassador. You must reapply every year as a contestant for the Ambassador title. There will be a separate fee. A webpage consisting of apperance pictures and information about your platform must be submitted. The pictures must be of the year you are applying for. |
