She was born and raised in Harford County Maryland. Her volunteer service started in Highschool and has continued into Adulthood. Her first volunteer work as an adult was at Tudor Manor as a Tour Guide in the home of John Wilkes Booth in Bel Air, MD. While living at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. with her husband she held many volunteer offices including President and Secretary of the Enisted Wives Club, Mayor, Vice Mayor and Secretary for the Villiage of Bayside and taught classes to new military wives. She was nominated for Volunteer of the Year and was awarded numerous certificates and a coin from the Comanding General. A move to Fort Benning Georgia gave her the opportunity to serve as Vice Mayor and Mayor on Main Post. She also freelanced for the Bayonett newspaper and the APG News. Now living in Tremont Illinois, she has volunteered at Tremont Grade School, Northfield Christian Fellowship, Tremont United Methodist Daycare, Tremont Park and Recreation,Tremont Youth Association, member of the Tremont Womens Civic Association, Member of the Tremont Historical Society and Museum, volunteers at the Annual Tremont Turkey Festival, Board Member of the Tremont Recreation Baseball and Softball, volunteer squad photographer for Cheertime USA, Morton JFL, Tremont Rec Baseball/Softball and Tremont Middle School Wrestling. Due to her lifetime volunteer service hours she has been awarded the Bronze, silver and gold Presidents Volunteer Service Awards in 2005. In 2006 she was awarded the highest honor the Presidents Call to Service Award for lifetime achievement. LOOK OUT..... She will be competing on the PARENT squad at Cheertime USA. Mrs. Bong is the owner of A.B. Creations Embroidery. April holds the Title of Mrs Metropolitan 2008 Covergirl, February, September, October, Cosmo Ms 2008  June, July, September, October, November.
